Calgary Flames place Walker Duehr on waivers

The Calgary Flames announced Wednesday afternoon that forward Walker Duehr has been placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment with the Calgary Wranglers.

Walker Duehr’s season with the Flames

Duehr has had a tough season thus far as he has spent the majority of the year in the press box after having a very solid 27-game effort last season, tallying seven goals and four assists for 11 points in primarily a fourth line role. Duehr has only dressed in 19 games this season and only has four points to his name after inking a two-year contract back in the summer.

If Duehr does clear waivers, he will report to the Calgary Wranglers and only time will tell if he gets another shot with the Flames this season.

That begs the question if a player like Matthew Coronato will be making his way back up to the Flames as his impressive rookie season in the AHL continues. We’ll wait and see what the Flames have in mind with their most recent roster transactions.
