Calgary Flames

Dates for postponed Calgary Flames games have been determined

The NHL postponed over 100 games due to the COVID-19 pandemic this season. This has resulted in an imbalance in the schedule, the official opting out of participation in the 2022 Beijing Olympics, and several emergency changes to the CBA to accommodate for outbreaks affecting teams.

The Calgary Flames have had 10 games postponed on their schedule, eight home games and two road games. Today, the Flames announced makeup dates for the postponed home games.

These games will take place in February during the originally scheduled Olympic break, as was expected when the NHL and NHLPA announced they would not attend the Games.

The Flames need to make up games at home against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Columbus Blue Jackets, Anaheim Ducks, Seattle Kraken, Edmonton Oilers, Winnipeg Jets, New York Islanders, and Vegas Golden Knights; and on the road against the Chicago Blackhawks and Nashville Predators.

The Win Column has learned that the dates for postponed Flames games are as follows.

A grind

The Flames will get four days off for the NHL All-Star Game, but then get right back to it with a tough NHL schedule. The revised schedule includes two back-to-back sets so far, and brings the total number of games they’ll play in February up to 11 from the four originally planned.

This also increases the number of back-to-backs remaining to 11 from now until the end of the regular season.

This article was updated at 1:39PM on January 19th based on the NHL’s released schedule.
