Flames Game Recaps

Flames Visual Recap 12: Calgary loses sixth straight game, swept by Devils in season series

Despite losing the previous five games, the Calgary Flames had picked up points in two straight, and looked to build on that momentum as they continued their road trip in New Jersey.

Just like the night before, the Flames dominated most of the game, jumping out to an early lead off a nice NazemKadri power play tally. Unfortunately, the Devils capitalized on their chances and ended up scoring the eventual game winner in the dying minutes of the third period. NicoHischier converted on a turnover, after which the Flames failed to generate much in the offensive zone. The loss drops them to 5-5-2 on the season. The Pacific Division favourites are now a .500 hockey club.
