With the 30th overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, the Calgary Flames have selected winger Chase Harrington.
Who is Harrington?
Harrington is a 6’1″ winger who isn’t afraid of making his presence known. He hasn’t quite hit the point per game mark in the WHL; however, his presence on the ice is massive, registering 105 PIMs this past season.
| Season | Team | League | GP | G | A | P |
| 2023-24 | Spokane Chiefs | WHL | 61 | 6 | 16 | 22 |
| 2024-25 | Spokane Chiefs | WHL | 68 | 19 | 31 | 50 |
| 2025-26 | Spokane Chiefs | WHL | 61 | 28 | 29 | 57 |
Analyzing the pick
Harrington brings size to an otherwise small Flames prospect pool. Similar to the selection of Maceo Phillips last year, this selection balances out the previous picks of pure speed and skill. He is a good player to crash the net and create some havoc in front, something which the Flames don’t have much of right now.
What’s next for Harrington?
Harrington will be heading back to the Spokane Chiefs next season as he continues his development in the WHL.
