Consolidated 2024 NHL Draft rankings

As the 2023–24 NHL season comes to a close, the priority for many teams now firmly outside the playoff picture is the 2024 NHL draft. As junior seasons also end around the globe, a clearer picture of the 2024 draft class is emerging.

A look at the 2024 NHL Draft class

As I discussed in TWC’s consolidated 2024 midterm draft rankings, the upcoming 2024 draft is quite a bit different than the 2023 draft held last summer. Connor Bedard was the easy consensus number one overall selection last year, and Macklin Celebrini is that player in 2024, but from second overall onwards, opinions vary drastically.

Continuing the trend from recent years, there are many different nationalities represented in the first rounds of the draft, an indication of a sport growing rapidly around the world.

This draft will have some drama, as it always does, as there isn’t a prospect of Bedard’s calibre in this year’s class. Only Celebrini received number one rankings, but eight players received number two rankings, 12 received rankings in the top five, 18 in the top 10, and 60 received a vote in the top 32.

Consolidated draft rankings

Our rankings include those from Tony Ferrari, Smaht Scouting, Sam Cosentino, Jason Bukala, Scott Wheeler, Cory Pronman, Max Bultman, Chris Peters, Curtis Isacke, Logan Horn, Dobber Prospects, Steven Ellis, Bob McKenzie, EliteProspects, Hockey Prospecting, Hadi Kalakeche, Craig Button, and Upside Hockey.

If any notable rankings were missed, please let me know and I will adjust the consolidated rankings accordingly.

A trimmed mean is used to eliminate the highest and lowest rank from every player.

Without further ado, here’s the full list.
