The Calgary Flames can’t seem to stop getting in their own way. After a massive win over the Buffalo Sabres two days prior, the Flames looked to build on their offensive surge and claw their way back into a playoff spot.
They started this game against the Ottawa Senators well, despite allowing the game’s first goal. The Flames scored the next three to go up 3–1, a lead they held until the final three minutes of regulation. But, the Senators scored two quick ones to tie it up, and sealed it in overtime.
Add yet another overtime loss to the Flames’ record this season. It’s a story we should be expecting, but it’s just as disappointing every time it happens.
