Flames Game Recaps

Flames Visual Recap 14: Calgary snaps losing streak by eking out win over Winnipeg

Finally, the Calgary Flames have recorded their sixth win of the season in Game 14 of their 2022–23 regular season. This comes after recording their fifth win in Game 6. Yes, the seven-game losing streak is finally over and the Flames did it with a big win on home ice after a very unsuccessful Eastern road trip.

It was a big goaltending battle as Jacob Markstrom went toe-to-toe with Connor Hellebuyck. The former might have been last season’s Vezina Trophy runner up, but the latter is currently a strong candidate for this season’s Vezina Trophy. Ultimately, the Flames finally got the job done and picked up two points in a single game for the first time since October 25.
