The Calgary Flames have announced the first round of cuts to their training camp roster.
Assignments and cuts
- Defenseman Etienne Morin has been assigned to the Moncton Wildcats in the QMJHL
- Forward Jacob Battaglia has been sent back to the Kingston Frontenacs of the OHL
- Defenceman Axel Hurtig has been reassigned to the Calgary Hitmen in the WHL
- Defenceman Eric Jamieson has been sent back to the WHL’s Everett Silvertips
- Winger Hunter Laing has been reassigned to the WHL’s Prince George Cougars
- Defenceman Henry Mews has been sent back to the Ottawa 67s of the OHL
- Luke Misa has been sent back to the OHL’s Brampton Steelheads
- Luke McNamara has been released from his amateur tryout agreement.
