Analyzing the pick

The Flames are turning to more long-term players and Jamieson adds more depth to this for the organization. Another big body coming from the WHL, a league the team knows very well, the Flames are comfortable picking players they likely have tons of information on.

Jamieson adds more depth to the Calgary Flames pipeline. The defender looks to bring the nails and physicality to the organization. Eric Jamieson won’t be expected to challenge for a roster spot any time soon, but a realistic timeline for him could be three to four years if everything goes right.

What’s next for Eric Jamieson

Jamieson likely goes back to Silvertips next season. With his high-end physicality, he proves to be a tough defender to gain leverage and possession against, which could be the skill that differentiates him as he looks to build upon it.
