All situations Corsi

  • The Flames took a few minutes before registering their first shot attempt but then scored shortly after that on the power play.
  • The game had contrasting momentum as the Jets got ahead only for the Flames to catch up both in shot attempts and on the scoreboard, but then Winnipeg got ahead again and stayed in front.
  • The Flames had some slot shots but overall their offence could be better. Their shooting is a lot more random compared to most other teams.
  • This was evident against the Jets too as Winnipeg got most of their shots from the net-front area, especially on the power play.

5v5 Corsi

  • The Flames actually had the better Corsi differential at 5v5, but the Jets’ power play converted twice on their prolonged pressure.
  • At 5v5, the teams were more even as both had some volume in the slot, but for the most part the scattered offence was seen on both ends.
  • Calgary couldn’t score from any of their high-danger chances.
