Mikael Backlund scores his 200th career goal

Saturday night against the Montreal Canadiens, the Calgary Flames’ captain Mikael Backlund netted his 199th—and much more importantly—his 200th career NHL goal. Opening the scoring late in the first period, Backlund notched his second goal of the night just eleven seconds into the second frame.

Big goal #200.

Backlund’s scored every goal as a Flame

Backlund has obviously been with the Flames his entire career, and every goal he has scored in the NHL has come as a member of the Flames.

There has been so much turnover from the Flames since their more successful seasons, Backlund has been the one piece however that has remained with the Flames through multiple different eras, so it is extremely heartwarming to see him reach the 200-goal milestone as a member of the Flames as opposed to representing another team.

From all the members at The Win Column and Flames fans all over the world, congratulations on the huge achievement, Mikael Backlund!
