Flames Game Recaps

Flames Visual Recap 52: Calgary in search of offence after loss against Detroit

The Calgary Flames continued their four-game road trip by facing off against the Detroit Red Wings. Calgary would be without Rasmus Andersson, who was ruled out after being hit by a car one night prior to the game. Thankfully Andersson is deemed alright and didn’t play likely due to precautionary reasons.

As for the game, the Flames found themselves in a low-scoring game as the two teams remained tied nearly two period into the game. However, with under two minutes left in the second, both teams scored to break the deadlock just to immediately find themselves in another one.

The third period saw the Red Wings go up by one goal followed by the Flames being completely unable to funnel pucks towards the net. Shots came from all over the ice but nothing was particularly high-danger. The Flames really hurt their own playoff chances with their performance. The one bright spot was Dan Vladar, who was tasked with making several ten-bell saves to keep the Flames from being in a deeper hole.

Charts from the game are below.
