Flames Game Recaps

Flames Visual Recap 42: Calgary loses again in overtime, pick up one point against Blues

The Calgary Flames continued their five-game road trip with a game against the St. Louis Blues. They entered this game 0–0–1 on the trip, and were looking to get back into the win column.

Unfortunately, it was a classic 2022–23 Flames game. They jumped out to a 3–1 lead entering the third period, and were the better team in the game up to that point. But, the Blues stormed back scoring three goals in the third—the third one thankfully overturned due to a coach’s challenge for offside, and then another in overtime.

It marked the ninth time this season the Flames have lost in extra time.

Their road trip continues on Thursday night with a rematch against the Blues.

Charts from the game are below.
