Looking to get back into the win column and avoid extending their losing streak to three games, the Calgary Flames faced off against the Nashville Predators in what’s usually a very spirited meeting of big goals and down-to-the-final-minute drama.
This wasn’t the case however as the Flames got off on the wrong foot and were playing catchup the entire game, first to catch up against the Predator’s pace—which to their credit, they kind of managed to do in a poor stumbled upon manner—and then catching up with the score, which the Flames never did. They were behind in every aspect and were easily handled by the Predators.
Jacob Markstrom let in a few more goals than he would have liked, but he was easily one of the Flames’ best players in the game with huge saves—preventing a worse fate. The Flames lose by a final score of 4–1.
