Flames Game Recaps

Flames Visual Recap 3: Calgary mounts comeback against Golden Knights due to dominant display

The Calgary Flames returned to the Saddledome to begin a season-long eight-game homestand after picking up a victory in the Battle of Alberta. The homestand kicked off with a meeting between the Pacific Division’s remaining undefeated teams as the Vegas Golden Knights made their first visit of the season.

The Flames didn’t start off of the right foot in the first being down 2–0 after 20 minutes. However, the second period was a display of the Flames special teams as the visitors couldn’t stay out of the box, and the Flames were able to capitalise on the power play to tie it up after 40. A Flames goal was called back due to goaltender interference to boot.

The scoreboard showed 2–2, but the ice was tilted in the Flames’ favour as they were relentless. They were rewarded with a goal late in the third, which served as the game-winner.
