The Stockton Heat have just unveiled new retro alternate jerseys for their upcoming Turn Back the Clock Night game on January 29, 2022 against the Ontario Reign. You can see the official twitter announcement linked below:
This new set of jerseys is inspired by the iconic jerseys previously worn by the Stockton Thunder who played in the ECHL from 2005 to 2015, until the arrival of the Heat which saw the ECHL team relocate. This tribute to the hockey history of Stockton almost seems reminiscent of the Heritage/Winter Classic jersey program seen in the NHL every year.
This is is the second time that the Heat have released a special throwback style jersey, as they previously dropped 15th Anniversary jerseys in 2019, to celebrate 15 years of hockey in the city of Stockton.
The Stockton Heat will be auctioning off these new Stockton Thunder throwback jerseys for 30 minutes following tomorrow’s Turn Back the Clock Night game by the main entrance.
