Blake Coleman set the Calgary Flames fandom on fire last week by throwing a fun little jab at team tank. The veteran forward stated that the team has recently made it a mantra to upset team tank amid the Flames’ hot streak.
Well, it turns out the Flames organization have taken things one step further to ensure Coleman’s comments are carried on for years to come. The now infamous mantra will be a permanent part of the organization’s culture at the new Scotia Place arena set to open for the 2027-28 season. See below for the current mock-ups provided by the team on what the new locker room mantra will look like.

The slogan is sure to be front and centre when the team steps into their new arena next year. Players and coaches alike always remember the main goal and mantra that the team should be following.
A new era in Calgary
The new slogan will no doubt create a new culture and identity in Calgary. It will ensure that the first Flames roster to play in Scotia Place remembers the number one goal moving forward. It isn’t to get into the playoffs or win a Stanley Cup; it’s to upset team tank.
