Maceo Phillips is a defensive defenceman who excels in playing physically. The young defenceman is a hard hitter who can be a solid depth defenceman. The Flames have a fair share of young offensive defencemen in their prospect pool, so it was worth gaining a defensive defenceman.
What’s next for Maceo Phillips
Phillips played a couple of years in the NTDP for the US National Development Program. For the 2025–26 season, he is committed to playing at the University of Minnesota.
