Martin Pospisil named to Slovakia’s Olympic roster

The 2026 Winter Olympics kick off in under eight months in Italy. Today, international ice hockey federations released the “Olympic Six” for each of their teams, the first six members of their men’s Olympic hockey rosters.

Calgary Flames forward Martin Pospisil was named to Slovakia’s roster as one of their Olympic Six.

Building on a strong international career

Pospisil has been a mainstay on Slovakia’s international roster for a few years now. He started his international career all the way back in junior with the U18 and U20 teams.

More recently, Pospisil represented Slovakia at the World Championships in 2024 where he burst onto the scene with seven points in seven games. Since then, he has been one of the key players for Slovakia, serving as one of their top forwards and often alongside his brother, Kristian Pospisil.

Pospisil also played for Slovakia in the Olympic qualifier tournament where he had three points in three games.

Congrats to Martin on the Olympic nod!
