The local AJHL team, the Calgary Canucks, are set to play the two biggest games of their season tonight and tomorrow in the South Division Finals.
You can get in on the action and cheer on the hometown talent with an exclusive deal for TWC readers.

The Calgary Canucks are a wagon
While the Calgary Flames are one of the lowest scoring teams in the entire NHL, the Canucks finished first overall in the AJHL this past season. With a record of 37-13-4, the Canucks topped the AJHL standings in almost every category. They had the most wins, most regulation and overtime wins, the best goal differential by a country mile.
In regular season scoring, the Canucks boasted the number one and number three overall scorers, and six of the top 12 scorers in the AJHL.
The number one scorer in the league was Jack Plandowski, a 2005-born forward from Halifax, NS who put up 34 goals and 79 points in 50 games.
The third overall scorer in the league is homegrown Calgary-born forward Bowden Singleton, who amassed 24 goals and 61 points in just 38 games this season. He’s committed to the NCAA’s University of Tennessee next season.
In the playoffs so far, the Canucks knocked off the Camrose Kodiaks in five games, powered by Luc Trevors’ nine points in the series. He currently leads AJHL playoff scoring.
Support the team at Max Bell Centre
The Canucks play out of the iconic Max Bell Centre, and host an incredible game-day experience for all fans. The Canucks are proud of what they’ve built, and deserve our support. We sat down with Lyle Peterman, the Chair of Game Day Operations and Co-Chair of the 2025 Centennial Cup, and asked him about the experience fans can expect.
We have not only built a competitive championship program but also made significant efforts to enhance the fan experience. Our Gameday atmosphere is one of the most unique in the city, featuring DJs, live music from talented local musicians and bands, drummers, and more. We have plans for additional audio and visual upgrades leading up to the Centennial Cup and into the next season. Max Bell offers an incredible venue for watching hockey, and we aim for the fan experience to reflect that quality. If you haven’t attended a Canucks game recently, I highly recommend coming to check one out.
