NHL Fantasy: Goaltending streaming options for Week 10

As we get closer to the end of 2024, fantasy standings are starting to take shape. The top teams are rising to the top, while certain teams’ struggles continue. Now more than ever, streaming to keep your team in the playoff race is crucial. In particular, maximizing your starts for the week is key to winning weekly matchups. Below are five streaming options between the pipes that are worth a look next week.

Marc-Andre Fleury – Minnesota Wild

He may have taken on a back-seat role this season to the red-hot Filip Gustavsson, but that doesn’t mean veteran Marc-Andre Fleury doesn’t still carry value when he gets between the pipes. So far on the year Fleury has started six games and has dropped just one of them—his first start of the season back on October 12th. Across his six starts, he’s posted a save percentage above .900 four times and has allowed more than three goals just once.

With the Wild set to play four times next week including a back-to-back to close out the week, Fleury is absolutely worth a look for a spot start or maybe even two.

Johnathan Quick – New York Rangers

Aside from one bad game, Johnathan Quick has been incredibly solid this season as the backup to Igor Shesterkin. So far in the season, he has started six games and won five of them. Two of those wins are also shutouts, and he’s allowed more than three goals just once on the season. Much like Fleury, Quick is one of the very best streaming options between the pipes given his strong play this season. With a .936 save percentage and 2.03 GAA, Quick is worth a look with the Rangers set to play a back-to-back to close out the week.

Joel Hofer – St. Louis Blues

St. Louis Blues backup Joel Hofer had a bit of a rough stretch to start November with three straight losses, but he’s since gotten back on track. Hofer has won both of his last two starts, allowing only three combined goals, and has got his season save percentage back above .900. With the Blues on the schedule four times next week and closing out the week with a back-to-back, you can do a whole lot worse than Hofer in net if you need a start.

John Gibson – Anaheim Ducks

John Gibson has seemingly given up his long-time starting role with the Ducks to young sensation Lukas Dostal, but that doesn’t mean he can’t offer some fantasy value when needed. With the Ducks set to play four games next week, including three against weak opponents in the Canadiens, Blue Jackets, and Senators, Gibson is worth an add if you’re desperate between the pipes.

So far on the season, Gibson has started eight games since returning from injury. As is usually the case with Gibson, he doesn’t rack up a lot of wins, but his numbers are usually pretty solid. He’s currently sitting on a 4–3–1 record but has put up an impressive .914 save percentage and 2.76 GAA including two 40+ save wins. Keep an eye on the Ducks starting goalie throughout the week, as the Canadiens, Senators, or Blue Jackets would be incredibly enticing matchups if Gibson gets the start.
