The Calgary Flames have announced more cuts to their roster just a few hours after assigning Zayne Parekh to the OHL. This time around, there were no reductions that made anyone turn heads.
Assignments and cuts
The following players have been assigned to the AHL:
- RW Alex Gallant
- RW Trevor Janicke
- C Rory Kerins
- G Connor Murphy
- C Ilya Nikolaev
- G Matt Radomsky
- C David Silye
All seven players were part of the third group at training camp, so their assignment is no surprise. Murphy and Radomsky are destined to battle for the AHL backup spot or ECHL starter. Gallant, Janicke, and Silye are career AHLers, while Kerins and Nikolaev didn’t do much to earn a longer stay at NHL camp.
