Tij Iginla drafted sixth overall by Utah in the 2024 NHL Draft

Son of Calgary Flames legend Jarome Iginla, Tij Iginla, was a top prospect available in the 2024 NHL Draft. With experts predicting that Iginla would be selected somewhere around 10th overall, there was hope that the Flames would be able to select him with their pick at ninth overall.

However, the Utah Hockey Club, the recently relocated Arizona Coyotes franchise, selected Iginla sixth overall.

The nameless Utah Hockey Club have made powerful enemies with the Calgary Flames fanbase.

This will be a fun rivalry for years to come.
