Most Entertaining Moments of the Last Hockey Season for the New Jersey Devils

The 2022-23 hockey season was a rollercoaster ride for fans across the globe. The year has had numerous individual and collective highs and lows. This conclusion can be drawn from the fact that many teams have acquired new sponsors, including online casinos and bookmakers, where you can instantly take your winnings by betting on your favourite team.

We have tried to analyse what we think were the turning points for hockey in North America.

The Best Moments of 2022-23 in NHL

Here is our favourite, our top 3 from the NHL. These were all phenomenal, and you may disagree with the ranking. But we tried our best to judge them fairly.

3. Turnaround from #7

Dougie Hamilton had the biggest goal of his career so far, in OT Game 3 of the First Round thus ending chances for the New York Rangers. He almost single-handedly prevented them from taking a 3-0 series lead with his amazing score. A true turnaround moment, Hamilton made the most perfect shot over the glove of Igor Shesterkin. Dougie Hamilton, lucky number 7, showed patience, precision and skill.

2. From Patrik to Jack!

On April 11 at his home, Jack Hughes sets the new record for most points in a single season. He broke the previous and quite long-standing 96-pointer that was set by Patrik Elias in 2000-01 season.

And it was so much more special for Jack because his family was there watching him and his younger brother Luke, who was making his debut. So, it was a magnificent triumph for Jack and an amazing start for Luke.

1. Talent runs in the family

Luke Hughes’ makes a majestic score and saves the final game of the Devils’ season, and at the final second too.

Luke’s first career NHL goal was scored in the most outstanding fashion, a smooth wraparound in OT against the Capitals. What made that moment even more special was that the assist came from his own brother Jack, an amazing spectacle.

Only three days into his career, and what a historic score. That game was the last chance for the Devils’ to set new records in wins (52) points (112) and road wins (28). And that goal made all of them happen, and with only 28 seconds left in OT they have capped off all three records. Just outstanding!
