The Calgary Flames aren’t going away quietly in the Western Conference wildcard race. Hot off a win agains the San Jose Sharks, the Flames hosted the red-hot Los Angeles Kings at the ‘Dome on pride night.
After every single Flames skater wore the pride jersey for warmups, they proceeded to put forth one of their absolute best games of the season. The final score was 2–1, but the Flames had three goals disallowed, and were fantastic all night long. Jacob Markstrom made a number of massive saves and the Flames were rolling.
Just seven games remain on the schedule, and each one becomes more important than the last as the Flames, Winnipeg Jets, and Nashville Predators fight to the death for the final wild card spot in the West.
Charts from the win are below.
