The Calgary Flames took on the Dallas Stars on the road, looking to snap a five-game losing streak. Jacob Markstrom started in goal, while new addition Nick Ritchie made his Flames debut.
It was a solid game for the Flames for almost the entire game. They went up 2-0, Ritchie scoring in his first game with the team. The Stars battled back a couple times, but it was Tyler Toffoli who iced it with just seconds remaining in the third period. Jonathan Huberdeau sauced a beautiful pass to spring Toffoli on the breakaway, and he beat Jake Oettinger high to win the game.
The playoffs may look far away, but it’s not over until it’s over.
