Flames Game Recaps

Flames Visual Recap 45: Calgary’s slow start leads to regulation loss in Nashville

After putting up six goals in the first half of their game against the Dallas Stars, the Flames simply left their offensive game in the Lone Star State and were very much not present for the first two periods of this game.

They were beaten on one lucky and one very good chance in the first by the Predators. Roman Josi shot one from the point that went off a defenceman and into the net. Then Juuso Parssinen came out of the box on a 3-on-2 and beat Markstrom in tight to make it 2-0 Preds.

The Flames would get one back in the second. Nikita Zadorov would beat Juuse Saros after a nice feed from Mikael Backlund. The Flames thought they had another one, but the referees ruled that Tyler Toffoli had kicked the puck into the net.

Despite a late push, the Flames were unable to beat Juuse Saros, and the Predators would hang on to win this one 2-1.

Charts from the loss are below.
