Flames Game Recaps

Flames Visual Recap 44: Nearly blowing a 6–1 lead, Calgary ekes out one-goal victory

The Calgary Flames found an offensive gear they didn’t know they had in their Saturday matinee game against the Dallas Stars. Opening the scoring just 25 seconds into the game, the Flames potted six goals in total within the game’s first forty minutes.

The Stars at on point were down 6–1 with less than a minute to go in the second period, but a last-minute goal cut the deficit to four goals. All things considered, the Flames were very comfortable with their position heading into the third. In fact they were almost too comfortable. They allowed the next three goals as the Stars made it a one-goal game with under five minutes to go.

However, the Flames hung on and were able to secure the victory. They scored six goals and needed all six to win.

Charts from the victory are below.
