Jacob Markstrom – G – $8,200

It worked out for Game 5, so why not go back to the well in Game 6. Despite all the attention Jake Oettinger has been getting for putting his Stars team on his back, Jacob Markstrom has been just as good at the other end for the Calgary Flames.

After a slow start to the series, the Flames are on a roll right now, winning back-to-back games as they now sit one win away from the second round. Markstrom has posted a .952 save percentage and 1.21 GAA through five games this series as he’s helped the Flames take a 3–2 series lead. The Flames seem to have finally cracked Dallas’s shutdown system, and I see them closing this series out once and for all tonight in Game 6 on the back of another strong performance from Markstrom.

Kris Letang – D – $6,200

The Pittsburgh Penguins were rolling offensively before an untimely injury to Sidney Crosby in Game 5. That said, now back on home ice I think they get it back together and send the Rangers packing. Kris Letang had a slow start to the series, but has since three points and eight shots over the last two games.

He’s one of the best plays on defence tonight considering the other games on the schedule, and on home ice with a chance to clinch the series there’s not doubt the Penguins will come out flying. He’s played over 25 minutes in four of five games so far, so you know he’s going to get ample opportunity to rack of shots and points. Lock him in as a great play on defence.
