It’s still early in Round 1 of the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs, but the back and forth action to start it off has already seen teams gain 2–0 series leads, others losing home ice advantage, and so much more. The action continues with four series playing out their respective Game 2s tonight. Here are our DFS recommendations for May 5, 2022. All totals are for DraftKings DFS lineups.

Valeri Nichushkin – W – $4,700

Tuesday’s Game 1 between the Avalanche and Predators was never going to go any other way. The Avs steamrolled the Preds 7–1 and chased backup David Rittich in just less than one period. There’s no reason to believe the onslaught won’t continue in Game 2 as the Preds’ next man up is rookie Connor Ingram.

Sitting on a prime spot on the team’s stacked top line, Valeri Nichushkin picked up an assist, three shots and six hits in Game 1. As long as he remains on the top line, he’ll continue to be in a great spot to rack up points against a poor Nashville team and comes in at fairly good value.

Rasmus Andersson – D – $4,300

Rasmus Andersson‘s Game 1 probably didn’t go the way he thought it would. The Flames’ top pairing blueliner was given a game misconduct for a fight with John Klingberg at the end of the first period and that was the end of his night.

There’s no doubt Andersson will be fired up for Game 2 and right in the middle of the action. The Stars will only be able to hold back the Flames sixth ranked offence for so long and eventually the floodgates will open. If there’s as many minor penalties as last game, Andersson will get a ton of time on his usual spot on the Flames’ second power play unit as well.

Over his final 10 games of the regular season Andersson registered just four assists, but had 25 shots or around 2.5 per game. Expect him to continue firing everything on net tonight.
