When does the new season get underway?

The Calgary Flames play their first game of the season at home against the Winnipeg Jets on October 12th before travelling away to play the Pittsburgh Penguins on October 15th. They travel away on October 17th to play the Washington Capitals, and then on the 20th, they are away to the Buffalo Sabres.

Can the Calgary Flames win the NHL Championship 2023/24 with their new players?

The chances of the Calgary Flames winning the NHL Championship 2023/24 aren’t looking too good.

For example, today’s most trusted online sports betting sites, like the ones that have been reviewed on the Cryptostec website, have them priced at +3000 in the American/moneyline odds format to win the NHL Championship outright.

This means they only have a 3.20% implied probability rate of winning. It’s the same as saying 30/1 in fractional odds or 31.00 in decimal odds.

In comparison, the odds-on favourite to win the NHL Championship this season, Colorado Avalanche, are priced on average at around +750 (15/2, or 8.50), with an 11.80% chance of winning. Based on the latest odds, twelve other NHL teams are more likely to win the championship than the Flames.
