Connor McDavid is one of the top players in the NHL. The Canadian athlete has played for the Edmonton Oilers since 2015, earning important awards like the Art Ross and Ted Lindsay awards and even a Hart Trophy. The superstar is on the fifth year of an eight-year deal with an AAV of $12.5 million. He will earn $12 million in salary this season.

The 24-year-old won the James Norris Memorial Trophy in 2021 as the best defenceman in the league, and this has massively increased his reputation every season. Fox has an AAV of $9.5 million, but will earn $11 million in the 2022–23 season, making him one of the highest earners.
