Three Calgary Flames forwards are growing moustaches for Movember

Movember is an annual fundraiser that takes place each November in support of men’s health issues including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, male mental health, and more. Starting off as a fundraiser where men would grow a mustache for charity, it has now evolved where people can move 60 kilometers for the 60 men lost each hour to suicide.

The Flames have been actively involved in this for years, with numerous players taking part for charity. This year there are three Flames involved

Mikael Backlund

In his fourth year as a Mo Bro, Mikael Backlund has developed a short but sweet stache. Not too bushy and not too wide, Backlund’s stache is good on both ends of his face. Here is how it has progressed so far.

Currently around the $500 mark, Backlund is aiming to raise $1500 for men’s health. To donate to his campaign directly, check it out here

Sam Bennett

The man with the big mustache, Sam Bennett has been rocking the stache on and off over the last number of seasons. Just like Lanny McDonald back in the day, the big bushy mustache has become part of his personality. Already big and bushy, his campaign has raised over $2000 so far with no signs of stopping. In his third year as a Mo Bro, Bennett has been a driving force for the Flames’ team in their quest to raise funds for men’s health. To donate directly to Bennett, click here

Dillon Dube

Coming off of a standout season in Calgary, Dillon Dube is aiming to make a difference off the ice as well. So far in his first year as a Mo Bro, Dube has raised $300 and is growing a stache to rival his eyebrows.

Somewhere between the bushiness of Bennett and the beauty of Backlund’s, Dube’s stache is off to a strong start this season. To donate to Dube, click on the link here.

The Flames’ Team

All three are part of the Flames’ Movember team, with Bennett leading the way as it stands now. All money raised goes to a great cause, so be sure to support.
